Michael the spurred, part two

Tales of Michael the spurred

The princess and the E-type

Deep in dragon country in the darkest of dark woods Michael came upon the sinister black mouth of a cave. After first checking his supply of chocolate muffins and unsheathing his two-handed sword, the bold knight entered the cave. (At this point you may think Michael’s actions have got a bit silly, but just hold judgement!)
There was no light in the cave and as Michael was about to turn around and give up there came the faint sound of a small burp followed by the words,
“Oh pardon,” and a flare of purple fire that revealed the existence of the Dragon.
Battle commenced at once and at first the advantage was with the Dragon, as Michael could only see him when he belched fire. But after a time, as the walls of the cave heated up, Michael could just make out the vast scaly form of the Dragon in their glow.
Hour after hour they struggled and the combat was hot and fierce until both combatants were tired.
The Dragon was running low on gas and Michael well past the stage where his deodorant could cope when he reached into his pocket for a chocolate muffin only to discover that they had melted in the heat.

To be continued.

About mikeinkwazi

I am in my seventies and live in the west coast of Scotland, with the sea at the bottom of my garden. I have been variously, a sculptor an art teacher, designer, inventor, organic grower and last but never least, a blue water sailor. By the way, I have been telling stories and writing nonsense all my life!
